Jared Croley, 31, of Carson City was arrested Monday on felony counts of possessing and distributing child pornography and using a computer to lure children for sex acts.
Bail was set at $75,000 on those charges but he was held without bail for an unrelated parole and probation violation.
The five count complaint was filed Friday. It charges Croley uploaded a video of a girl just 2 to 4 years old and another between 6 and 8 years old being sexually penetrated.
He is charged with having in his possession 26 images on his cellphone depicting girls ranging from 5 to 12 years old engaging in sexual conduct.
In addition, he is charged with three counts of using a computer to try to lure girls under age 16 to his apartment for sexual acts.
The complaint says these crimes occurred from September 2020 through March in Carson City using social media programs, including Instagram.
Distributing child pornography is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Each of the three counts of luring a child under 16 for sex acts is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Possessing child pornography is punishable by up to six years in prison.
If convicted on all counts, Croley could be sentenced to up to 51 years in prison.
