The Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration has awarded Nevada $13.55 million in grants to support the Silver State’s travel and tourism economy.
Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., said because the hospitality industry in the state was so hard hit by the pandemic shutdowns, she fought to ensure the American Rescue Plan included funding to help it recover. She said the goal is to make sure Nevada can safely welcome travelers of all types to the state.
She said she will continue to work to get funding to help the tourism and travel industries recover. She said additional EDA grant funding is available through www.grants.gov
