The Carson City Sheriff’s Office will hold its Winter 2022 Citizen Academy beginning next month.
The 10-week academy will start Feb. 16 and run through April 20.
The academy is designed to teach volunteers from the community about how the different departments of the sheriff’s office work and how they can help deputies and other employees.
Classes run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Ormsby Room.
Those attending will be required to complete a questionnaire and pass a basic background check. Applications are available at the front counter.
