Carson High senior Parsa Hadjighasemi is going to find himself on a few record books after his performance Tuesday night in a 55-43 win over Galena.
The senior combo guard was lethal from beyond-the-arc, knocking down eight 3-pointers in the win.
The senior's eight triples tie a Carson High record set in 1995 when Dave Bradshaw hit eight against Bishop Gorman, per the NIAA record book.

The Nevada High School state record for 3-pointers in a game is 14, set by Smith Valley’s David Bozsik in a Class 1A game in 2007.
Up until this season, the Senators played in Class 4A where the single-game record was 10 triples set by Dustin Hall of Reed in 2001.
Now in Class 5A, there’s a chance Hadjighasemi may top the new NIAA record books for the Class once they’re released.
“I feel like we found the open guy. I feel like I got in a rhythm,” said Hadjighasemi. “I didn’t feel like I got in a rhythm until the second quarter and then it translated from halftime.”
The senior hit his first two 3-pointers in the second quarter before exploding with five more from range in the third quarter.
By the end of the night, Hadjighasemi had a game-high 32 points in the win, coming up just short of his career-high of 34.
“I honestly didn’t even know I had that many. It just kind of came,” said Hadjighasemi. “It’s a good boost because coming into this week we have two tough, but very winnable games that could clinch a playoff spot for us. It feels good for sure.”
The win moves to Senators to 8-11 overall and 4-7 in Class 5A Northern league play and leaves them in sixth place in the North.

UP NEXT: With six teams making the postseason, Thursday’s home game against Reno (10-9, 3-7) is a crucial one for that final playoff spot.
“Honestly, just execute our game plan. I don’t think we executed our game plan today. That was on me too,” said Hadjighasemi. “We just have to execute the game plan coach tell us.”
Carson and Reno will tip-off at 7 p.m. inside of Morse Burley Gymnasium.

Tuesday night Class 5A area scores
Douglas 69, Reed 61
Spanish Spribgs 63, Damonte Ranch 54
Bishop Manogue 65, Reno 49
