Parking to be limited near Carson City primary polling location this weekend

Early voting continues at the Carson City Community Center through June 10th. Park Rangers and parking attendants will be on site to direct parking. Approximately 100 parking spaces on the east side of the building will be designated for voters, as well as the convenience of a ballot drop box for mail in ballots. 

With the Nevada State Fair, theater performances, safe graduation, and other park activities scheduled, parking may be limited.

 

Public parking will be available in designated areas of the park, with nearby Nevada State Fair parking generously provided at Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Rd.

Friday, June 3: noon-10pm; Saturday, June 4th: 1pm-10pm; Sunday, June 5th: 11am-10pm

 

EARLY VOTING:

This weekend's events:
• The first full Carson Farmers Market is at 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at 412 N. Stewart Street, in the parking lot east of the Carson Nugget
• 2022 Primary Election early voting continues from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St. Voting will resume Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10.  Parking will be limited this weekend due to the amount of events around Mills Park.
• Carson High School graduation is today at 10 a.m. at CHS, 1111 N Saliman Road.
• The Open Air Vintage Market is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday at 405 E. Spear St.
• The Nevada State Fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Sunday at Mills Park.
• The second annual First Presbyterian Church Carson City Rummage Sale will be today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Division and West Musser streets.
• Two Sisters Spring Vintage Market is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Due Sorella, 202 N. Curry St.
• The Carson City Wine Walk will take place from 1-5 p.m. today in downtown Carson City.
• The Misfits Theatre Group present ‘The Rustlers of Red Rock’ today, Sunday at the Dayton Valley Community Center, 170 Pike St., in Dayton. Performances will be today at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Doors will open a half hour prior to each scheduled showtime. Admission is $15.
• Northern Nevada’s Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Club will hold its 25th anniversary Antique Engine and Tractor Show today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 920 Pinenut Road in Gardnerville.
The entry fee is $10 for adults and free for children under the age of 12.
• Street Vibrations spring rally is this weekend in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Virginia City and Carson City. Battle Born Harley-Davidson and Carson City Motorsports are hosting events.
• The 17th annual Rappin’ to Minden Car Show is 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today at Minden Park.
• The Carson Valley 2022 Quilt Show is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center. Admission is $10. Information, www.cvqg.com.
