The Carson City Airport is a strong economic driver in our community, accommodating more than 86 thousand take offs and landings per year.  It is also home base for many local aviators. You can learn more about the facility at the next Rotary Club of Carson City meeting taking place Tuesday, March 15. The meeting begins with lunch inside the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.

Airport Manager Corey Jenkins will talk about the history of the airport as well as its future. “We are in the process of implanting the newly updated master plan which includes new safety enhancements,” he said. “The airport has had a significant positive impact on our community.

People might be surprised to learn that a 2018 economic study found that the airport contributed to the creation of nearly 500 jobs in our community. We want to ensure the facility continues to contribute to our local economy and community.”
