Mousie is an adorable two-year-old, gray-striped tabby with beautiful green eyes. She came to CAPS from a household of 11 cats after her person died. Originally, she was a feral cat, which we know because her left ear is tipped. She is very shy but has bonded with her buddy BamBam. She will require patience and love to win her over. Are you the soul mate she is looking for?

Watson here, and we celebrated another successful Bark in the Park last Saturday. It was wonderful! Thank you to all of the community members who came out with their BFFs for the 5K walk/run. I am especially grateful to all my furry friends who accompanied them.
I may be as old as dirt, but I was able to hobble around a bit. And guess who got an honorary medal. However, my folks are another story; talk about slow. Anyway, we had a great time meeting and greeting everyone.
It is always a treat to witness the connection between person, dog, and community. Everyone there loves dogs and is concerned with animal welfare. They show it by the commitment they make to their pets and the animal community.
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Bark in the Park event is one of the major annual fundraisers for the Churchill Animal Protection Society. The day included a fun run and walk as well as vendors setting up their displays.

As always, Bark in the Park expands horizons of what is available for pet care. I got a very nice bath and peppermint scent. Of course, CAPS would be impossible without volunteers, community support, kennel workers, and our directors. We salute the people who are willing to give of their time, resources, and efforts to help maintain our no-kill-shelter.
Please know that whatever you can do or have done to help CAPS is a step in the right direction. To quote Mahatma Gandhi, “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Bark in the Park proves we do not just talk the talk we literally walk the walk.
