Carson City has been a Bee City USA since 2019. On Thursday, the Board of Supervisors will honor that title at the 8:30 a.m. meeting.
Mayor Lori Bagwell will issue a proclamation to recognize June as pollinator month in Carson City.
The board will meet at the Community Center on 851 E. William St., in the Robert “Bob” Crowell Board Room.
Among agenda items, supervisors will:
• Hear a presentation from the Nevada Association of Counties on its plan for the 82nd Session of the Nevada Legislature;
• Possibly award a contract for conflict counsel services to indigent defendants. The attorney who the city previously contracted with has resigned. The board will review six applicants for the contract;
• Create a full-time, grant-funded bilingual public health nurse position for Health and Human Services;
The meeting will air live through www.carson.org/granicus and on cable channel 191.
