NOTICE OF FILING OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE AND
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that proposed Bill 2022-D, Ordinance 122, will be filed with the County Clerk for public examination on November 3, 2022, with a public hearing scheduled for November 16, 2022 at approximately 1:15 PM and is entitled as follows:
TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE CENTRAL NEVADA HEALTH DISTRICT, PROVIDING FOR THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF SAID DISTRICT, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
SUMMARY: IN ORDER TO BEST PROVIDE FOR THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF THE CITIZENS OF CHURCHILL COUNTY, THE CENTRAL NEVADA HEALTH DISTRICT IS CREATED. THIS HEALTH DISTRICT WILL INCLUDE AS FOUNDING MEMBERS, CHURCHILL COUNTY, PERSHING COUNTY, MINERAL COUNTY, AND THE CITY OF FALLON. PURSUANT TO NRS CHAPTER 439, THE CENTRAL NEVADA HEALTH DISTRICT SHALL HAVE ALL OF THE POWERS OF THE CURRENT CHURCHILL COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH, AND ANY FURTHER POWERS AUTHORIZED BY NRS CHAPTER 439 OR ITS SUCCESSOR STATUTES. TITLE 6 OF THE CHURCHILL COUNTY CODE SHALL FURTHER BE AMENDED TO NAME THE CENTRAL NEVADA HEALTH DISTRICT AS THE RABIES CONTROL AUTHORITY.
The public hearing will be held in the Churchill County Commission Chambers, 155 N. Taylor St., Fallon, Nevada, for discussion and action on the above-noted proposed Bill 2022-D. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the County Clerk’s Office, 155 No. Taylor St., Suite 110, Fallon, Nevada, for inspection by all interested parties.
