The two winners of Carson City’s “I Voted” election sticker design contest were presented with certificates and recognized by the Carson City Clerk-Recorder’s Office for their designs on July 28.

The Board of Supervisors selected the two winners at their June 15 meeting. The winning designs, by Laura Licari and Tyler Kerver, will be used for three elections in 2024, starting with the February 2024 Presidential Preference Primary.

Supervisors chose the winning designs from a pool of five finalists. The finalists were selected by the office’s Elections Department after reviewing over 20 submissions.

“We were very impressed with the quality of the submissions we received,” said Clerk-Recorder Scott Hoen. “The winning designs are both beautiful, creative, and we are confident that they will be a hit with voters.”

The winning designs feature the words “Carson City” prominently as well as the Capitol. The designs also include other elements like patriotic colors and flags.

“We wanted to create designs that would be both visually appealing and meaningful to voters,” said Licari. “I’m excited that my design will be used to encourage people to vote in the upcoming elections.”

“I’m honored that my design was chosen,” said Kerver. “I hope that it will help to get people excited about voting and civic engagement.”

The “I Voted” stickers will be available at polling places in Carson City during the 2024 election cycle.
