Eight people have been arrested in connection with an Aug. 12 shooting, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
Deputies responded to the area of Stewart Street and Lee Street in reference to a shooting. Detectives learned that a fight occurred in the area and Christopher Moreno chased another male, shooting at him. The victim was shot in the back as he was running away, investigators have learned.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested 7 adults and 1 juvenile for crimes associated with this investigation. The following people were arrested:
• Christopher Moreno was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
• Lilliana Moreno was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to attempted murder, accessory to battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, harbor/aid a felony offender.
• A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to attempted murder, accessory to battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, harbor/aid a felony offender.
• Jonathan Munoz was arrested on suspicion of harbor/aid a felony offender.
• Aida Meza-Martinez was arrested on suspicion of harbor/aid a felony offender.
• Celeste Moreno was arrested on suspicion of harbor/aid a felony offender.
• Joselyn Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of harbor/aid a felony offender.
The victim fled the area and came in contact with people who transported him to the hospital.
