The second annual Holiday with a Hero Golf Tournament raised approximately $17,000 to support scholarships for local students. The event, held June 18, at Eagle Valley Golf Course, saw 20 teams with 78 golfers coming together for a worthy cause.

“We appreciate the generosity and support of our local business sponsors, raffle donors and golfers,” said Holiday with a Hero co-founder Daniel Gonzales. “Our team couldn’t do this for the students of our community without them and all those who contributed time and effort. Thank you to Eagle Valley Golf and Duncan Golf Management for their hospitality in providing a perfect setting for the tournament.”

Sponsors include Kadee Mason Insurance Agency, LLC, Waddell & Reed (Stevan Lyon), Dutch Bros., Chromalloy, TSA Custom Car & Trucks, Little Caesars, Tahoe Supply Co., American Eagle Heating & Air Conditioning, Michael Hohl Motor Co., Carson City Toyota, Comstock Concrete, United Rentals, CGI, Mason Electric, Highlights Salon and Cassinelli Landscaping & Construction.

The funds raised during this tournament, combined with previous years' contributions, have reached approximately $30,000 – all of which will go toward supporting local scholarships for deserving students.

The third annual Holiday with a Hero Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 18, 2024, at Eagle Valley Golf Course.
