Holiday with a Hero is hosting a four-person scramble golf tournament to raise funds to create a college scholarship for students in need. The Holiday with Hero Golf Tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. May 14 at the Silver Oak Golf Course. Cost is $125 per player and includes range balls, goodie bag and lunch. Divisions include Men’s, Women’s, Senior Men’s and Mixed. Registration deadline is May 1. All net proceeds will benefit the Holiday with a Hero scholarship, which will be awarded to a student who has participated in the annual $100 shopping spree. The organization partners with the Carson City School District’s McKinney-Vento Students-in-Transition program to support students living in motels, cars, campgrounds or doubling up with other families.
