"Since the book was held up in Customs, which delayed shipping, I suspect the was an Act of God involved to get a delivery 24 hours before the plant sale," Abowd said. "Given that the book will be a revenue stream for The Greenhouse Project once expenses are covered, this is truly exciting that the books are arriving in the nick of time!"
The 14th annual event has been a staple of TGP's fundraising, with all proceeds going to operations costs of the educational facility.
"Every year, we have expanded the sale to make it a more family-friendly space and offering an ever-growing variety of garden and landscaping plants, as well as gifts for Mom," said Karen Abowd, TGP founder and president.
"In addition to the plants, look forward to facepainting, our Build a Basket for Mom, amazing raffle prizes and new this year, an array of artisinal vendors."
Green Central is located at 1111 N. Salminan Road, Carson City. Directional signs will be placed.
