The Greenhouse Project's 15th annual Mother's Day plant sale takes place Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Green Central, located at Carson High School.

The event will feature an array of plants suitable for garden and landscaping needs. Online sales are currently available.

Beginning two years ago, TGP expanded the plant sale to include face painting, a raffle, a “Build Your Own Basket for Mom” option and as of last year, vendors offering gardening related items, yard art and more.

Cheryl Rotter, TGP board member is also looking for volunteers to help with the Build Your Own Basket table. Chef Charlie Abowd will also be signing copies of his book, "Recipes and Rambles That Made Adele's a Nevada Hot Spot." Book proceeds after expenses go to The Greenhouse Project.

The addition of the Native Plant Nursery has expanded TGPs plant offerings from those primarily featured in cold weather and summer gardening to an array of ornamentals for landscaping projects. Online orders can be placed, starting Monday, April 15, on TGPs Shopify at www.ccgreenhouseproject.myshopify.com.

To reach Green Central, turn off Saliman Road to East Robinson. Travel past the ROTC building and the bus yard. Green Central's entrance is on the left.
