Spooktacular returns to downtown Fallon on Tuesday, Oct. 31 after an absence of several years.

The downtown event on Maine Street involves many businesses handing out candy and having different celebrations.

Spooktacular is from 4-6 p.m. on Maine Street. Participation is free.

Attendees can trick-or-treat in costume on Maine Street at the business booths and trunk-or-treat. The celebration will also include bounce houses, face painting, a cutest costume contest, cornhole, pumpkin painting, a DJ, the Bloodmobile, story time with the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office, activities from the Churchill County Library and Churchill County Museum a Fallon/Churchill Fire Department fire truck, the Domestic Violence Intervention bus and an obstacle course.

Food will be available for purchase from the Fallon Theatre, Newa Indian Tacos, Antojitos Amor a La Mexicana and Mendoza’s MM Food Truck.

Other events are also scheduled in Fallon and Churchill County:

• Haunted House “Halls of Insanity: Crimes of Nevada’s Past”: Oct. 27 and 28 from 6-10 p.m. with all tickets $5. Oct. 26 from 5:30-7 p.m. is "faint-of-heart" night featuring the Churchill County Middle School drama club The event takes place at 73 N. Maine St. inside the old jail and is sponsored by Churchill County Parks and Recreation. For information, visit churchillcountyrecreation.org.

• Top Gun Skate Center Disney Halloween playlist party: Oct. 27 and 28 from 6-8:30 p.m. and 8-10:30 p.m. at 125 Grand Ave. Admission is $7 and $3 for an extra session. Regular skate rental is $3 and inline skates are $5. For information call 775-867-3535.

• Lattin Farms Fall Festival: “Fantasy”: Oct. 27 (maze only) 5-8 p.m. and Oct. 28 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at 1955 McLean Road. Hayride, pumpkin patch, scavenger hunt, cow train, costume contest, grower’s market, craft fair and celebrating 25 years of the corn maze. For information call 775-867-3750.

• Trunk-or-Treat: Oct. 30 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Venturacci Park, 341 Venturacci Lane. Fallon
