The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons, specifically pilots, interested in serving on the Carson City Airport Authority.

The authority is a seven-member board that oversees all matters pertaining to the Carson City Airport. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month in the Sierra Room at the community center.

Applicants must be willing to serve approximately 10-16 hours a month. There is one open position to fill a term ending October 2027. The position is for a pilot who owns and operates an aircraft based at the Carson City Airport.

Applications will be accepted until Oct. 4. Interviews for this volunteer position are tentatively planned for the Board of Supervisors meeting on Oct. 19.
