Carson City is now accepting letters of intent for the Community Support Services Grant (CSSG) for projects taking place July 1 through June 30, 2025.

“Special consideration will be given to nonprofits providing mental health services,” the city said in a news release.

Interested applicants can find the letter of intent and budget forms on the Carson City website at www.carson.org/government/departments-a-f/finance/grant-funding.

Submission deadline is Feb. 12.

“The Carson City Board of Supervisors established the CSSG to improve citizens’ quality of life,” reads the release. “This annual grant supports 501(c)3 nonprofits serving Carson City’s critical needs: mental health, substance abuse, domestic abuse, youth, disabled, health/dental, and senior services.”

Letters should be submitted to:

Rebecca Phipps, grants administrator, Carson City Department of Finance

201 N. Carson St., Suite 3,

Carson City, NV 89701-4289

Or email at rphipps@carson.org

Approximately $169,500 is available, according to the release. The city typically awards eight to 10 grants ranging from $5,000 to $60,000. Applicants deemed eligible will be invited to submit a full application due in March.

“This grant program has been supporting many wonderful nonprofits in our community for a long time now, and I am excited to see the great work that will continue to be done through these grants,” said Mayor Lori Bagwell.
