Man wanted in Carson, Douglas and Lyon arrested on Sunday

A man wanted in multiple Northern Nevada counties was arrested Sunday by Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies. 

The Carson City Special Enforcement Team have been recently searching for Joshua Harrison, 36, who has multiple felony warrants including: Carson City District Court felony warrant; Parole and Probation felony warrant; Lyon County contempt of court for luring a child (felony warrant); and he is also a suspect in Douglas County Commercial Burglary Case, according to a press release for the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. 

On Dec. 30, Carson City SET Detectives gathered information that Harrison was living in the hills in a tent near Sierra Vista Lane near Carson River Road.  

Detectives gathered information that Harrison may be in possession of a firearm and there were also recent shots fired calls in the direct area of where he was possibly staying.

Throughout the evening of Dec. 30 and into Dec. 31, a search was conducted for Harrison. On Dec. 30, SET and detectives with the assistance of the Drone Team, Patrol Division and Carson City Fire Department launched a search into the hills near the Carson River for Harrison.  

All-Terrain Vehicles were utilized in locating Harrison.  

At approximately 4 p.m., drone operators located a subject that appeared to be Harrison in the hills off of Sierra Vista Lane in close proximity to a tent.  

As detectives made an approach, Harrison began running up the canyon and after a short foot pursuit, Harrison was located hiding under a bush. Harrison was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Carson City Jail for the outstanding warrants and obstructing a peace officer.
