Spring is in the air and we have some great movies for those spring evenings and remember they are free thanks for all our sponsors, sustaining members and volunteers.

This weekend we have, playing Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., the 2009 family animated adventure film “Planet 51.” When astronaut Capt. Chuck Baker lands on Planet 51, he thinks he is the first life form to set foot there. He gets the surprise of his life when he learns that it is inhabited by little green people who live in an idyllic version of 1950s America — complete with a universal fear of alien invasion.

Voices provided by Dwayne Johnson, Justin Long, Jessica Biel and Gary Oldman.

Our second feature each evening, starting at 7 p.m. is the 1998 cult favorite “The Big Lebowski.” Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski is mistaken for Jeffrey Lebowski, who is The Big Lebowski. Which explains why he's roughed up and his precious rug ruined. In search of recompense, the Dude tracks down his namesake, who offers him a job. His wife has been kidnapped and he needs a reliable bagman, aided and hindered by his pals Walter Sobchak, a Vietnam vet, and Donny, master of stupidity.

Starring Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi and Julianne Moore.

Mark your calendar this April for some great special events and one more at the end of March.
