A town hall with Churchill County, city of Fallon, Truckee Carson Irrigation District and Bureau of Reclamation officials will be Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Rafter 3C Arena.

For the first time in 15 years, there will be a new leader of the Greenwave football program. After taking over the position in 2009, Brooke Hill led Fallon to its highest win total in the school’s final last year in the state’s largest class (4A) before building up the program that won two championships in four state finals. Hill finished with a 117-44 record.
American Red Cross volunteers will visit Fallon neighborhoods to offer fire prevention information and register residents for free smoke alarms on Saturday.
