Suspect sought in Fernley robbery

Authorities are seeking the man who robbed the Fernley Best Western Motel early Friday morning.

The man entered the motel's office holding a gun and ordered the clerk to the floor, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.

The robber reached into the cash drawer and took $275 before being interrupted when people pulled up in front of the motel.

Described as being white, 6 feet tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds, the man was last seen wearing black tennis shoes, black pants, a red and black plaid shirt with orange stripes and a black T-shirt with gray stripes.

He was wearing a brown slouch felt hat with a white ski mask that covered everything but his eyes.
