The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 28-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 1:01 a.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,132.


• Mathew Chidester, 21, a transient, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson and Carson streets on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,632.


• Corina Marie Padilla, 41, a transient, was arrested at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Merrimac Way on a warrant for felony fugitive from justice out of California.


• Kenneth Paul Hall, a 21-year-old transient, was arrested at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roop and Beverly streets on suspicion of felony providing false name to avoid prosecution and a felony failure to appear warrant. No bail was set. Also arrested was 18-year-old Michael Cleatus Ball of Gardnerville on suspicion of felony providing false identification to avoid prosecution, and two misdemeanor failure to comply warrants out of Douglas County. His bail was set at $7,500.




-- Deputies responded to the following calls:


• A report of a fight Tuesday in the 400 block of West Winnie Lane at 2:10 p.m.


• A man was arrested Tuesday at Raley's at 9:57 p.m. for allegedly smuggling Southern Comfort out of the store in his pants.


• Several subjects were seen intoxicated and unconscious in Mills Park on Wednesday at 10:35 a.m. One woman was taken to detox at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
