A service for Jeanne Ernestina Beasley, 77, a Gardnerville resident for the past 16 years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minden.

Mrs. Beasley died June 30, 2004, at her home. She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Kurt Egelhaaf and Claire Eldridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Beasley Sr.

Mrs. Beasley worked for the Benton, Calif., school district as a secretary. She also worked at the evening high school in Anchorage, Alaska, as an attendance secretary until she retired.

Prior to living in Gardnerville she resided in Anchorage.

Among her survivors are her children; Delbert Beasley Jr., Daniel Beasley, Deborah Payne, Julie Hayes and Margot Joy, in Benton.

A family viewing and private service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery after the public service.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville is in charge of arrangements.
