Lina Eileen Stroup, 85, a Gardnerville resident for the past nine years, died Nov. 11, 2005, at home. She was born Oct. 22, 1920, in Glendale, Calif., to George H. and Lucreta Seal.

She married Stephen A. Stroup in 1967 in Las Vegas.

She graduated from Glendale High School in 1938 and attended Glendale College.

Mrs. Stroup worked as a school bus driver and bank escrow officer, and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 10, 1991, in Torrance, Calif.; sister, Helen Thomas; and brother, Don Seal.

Among her survivors are her sons Lloyd V. Blackmore Jr. and George H. Blackmore, both of Gardnerville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
