A funeral for Edna Y. Kwan, 92, an 11-year Sacramento, Calif., resident will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Douglas County Mortuary.

Mrs. Kwan was born Nov. 11, 1914, in China to Earl and Chang Yim. She died Dec. 19, 2006, in Sacramento.

Before moving to Sacramento, Mrs. Kwan lived in Gardnerville from 1940-1995.

She and her husband owned the Joyland Cafe in Gardnerville for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace N. Kwan, in 1995.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Wallace Jr. and Gerlene Kwan of Sacramento; daughter and son-in-law Jean and Jimmy Yee of Sacramento; sisters and brothers-in-law Florence and Rolfe Gehre of Concord, Calif., Billie and Bill Leong of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Margaret and Jerry Ngim of Santa Clara, Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Shirley Yim of Baltimore, Md., Dan and Barbara Yim of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Garden Cemetery in Gardnerville.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
