Dyer, Niehoff take titles in Lake Berryessa Swim

The Carson Tigersharks made their annual trek to participate in the Lake Berryessa Open Water one-mile swim in Northern California and Kevin Dyer and Abby Niehoff came away with titles.

Dyer won the 15-16 boys division and took second overall in 20 minutes, 17 seconds. Matt Grunert was also seventh for 15-16 boys and 11th overall in 20:39 and Sam Ballard was 18th and 33rd overall in 23:50.

Niehoff was first in 15-16 girls in 20:40. Barbara Perkins was second in 17-18 girls in 22:12.

Tatum Boehnke was right behind in 15-16 girls, taking sixth in 22:14. Julie Asire was right behind Boehnke in eighth in 22:32. Danielle Judge was 12th in 23:12 and Samantha Ashmore was 14th in 23:50.

Other finishes for the Tigersharks were: 11-12 boys - Jacob Branco, 15th, 28:20; Tim Grunert, 21st, 29:40. 11-12 girls - Chloe Hearn, sixth, 26:32; Jessica Fahrenbruch, 10th, 28:21. 13-14 girls - Caroline Suh, 14th, 24:43; Haley Stokes, 48th, 32.09.
