A funeral service for Virginia Bianconi, 94, a Carson City resident since 1976, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A rosary will be recited there at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Bianconi died May 6, 2006, in Carson City. She was born April 10, 1912, in Angola, Ind., to Joseph and Rose Coscarelli.

She married Edward Bianconi in San Jose, Calif., in 1945.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Portola, Calif.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Bianconi enjoyed baking, crocheting, camping and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; sisters Theresa Willard in 1967, Connie Currier in 2005 and Mary Cypert in 2005; and brothers Ralph Coscarelli in 2000, Alfred Coscarelli in 1936, John Coscarelli in 1985 and Peter Coscarelli in 2006.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Adrienne Nascimento of Portola; sisters Anna P. Phelps of Carson City, Elvina Green of Las Vegas and Josephine Mendoza of San Jose; brother and sister-in-law Clyde and Josephine Coscarelli of Campbell, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
