The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 52-year-old contractor from Carson City was arrested at 9:21 a.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $260 cash.


• Mitchell Kaylor, 46, transient, was arrested at 3:19 a.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Brown Street on suspicion of felony home invasion and battery causing substantial bodily harm. Bail was set at $40,000.


• A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 2:18 a.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing. Bail was set at $237.


• A 42-year-old unemployed man from Carson City was arrested at 3:59 a.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Brown Street on suspicion of misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear on a traffic matter and failure to pay fines. Bail was set at $671 cash.


• A 45-year-old home improvement worker from Carson City was arrested at 10:55 p.m. Monday at Woodside Drive and Airport Road on suspicion of misdemeanor improper turn, driving on a suspended license, failure to appear on a traffic matter and drunken driving. Bail was set at $3,961.


• A 25-year-old tiler from Carson City was arrested at 1:23 p.m. Monday in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of probation and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $4,132.


• A 22-year-old landscaper from Carson City was arrested at 9:04 p.m. Monday at Fifth Street and Saliman Road on suspicion of driving on a revoked license. Bail was set at $1,132.


The following are some of the 140 calls to which deputies responded:


• A man broke into a home through a window in the 1600 block of Brown Street at 2:40 a.m. Monday and began battering several people inside. He allegedly broke someone's leg and threw a desk at a 9-year-old boy, according to the arrest report.


• A report from a 16-year-old male that his foster parent had attempted to molest him at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, according to the police report.


• A suicidal man walked out of a behavioral health center at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday. He was later located and returned to the hospital.




Storey County


The following are some of the 27 calls to which deputies responded:


• A traffic stop on State Route 341 at 8:05 a.m. Monday. The driver was issued a warning for speed.


• A traffic stop on South C Street in Virginia City at 2:13 p.m. Monday. The driver was issued a citation for speeding.


• A man arrived at St. Mary's Emergency Room with a gunshot wound to the chest, stating the wound was an accident.
