A memorial service for Frederick S. Moder, 90, an eight-year Minden resident, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Moder died April 14, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Chicago, to Rheinholt H. Moder and Alta May Howe.
Before moving to Minden, he lived in Harper, Tex.
He married Nola Mahan in November 2004, in Gardnerville.
He was a Realtor, and also retired from AT&T.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Moder, and second wife, Bernice Moder.
Among his survivors are his wife, Nola Moder of Minden; daughter, Gail Moody of Dearborne, Mich.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
