Churchill County Parks and Recreation is offering Winter Fun Day camp for students ages 6-12.

Winter Fun Day Camp is held Monday through Friday, taking New Year's Day off, for $60 per camper per week ($55 for each additional child). The drop-in rate is $18. Pre-registration for each week is required. The maximum camper capacity is 30.

Children will have the opportunity to do a variety of different activities each day. Crafts range from painting and bead crafts, to making bird houses and homemade silly putty.

This camp also helps children to expand their minds with a science section of the camp where they will learn about winter warmth.

Before lunch, campers will spend time in the multipurpose building doing relays and crocheting.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, children will take a field trip to the indoor pool for swimming and on Thursdays they go to the bowling alley.

For the last five years since it was started, Winter Fun Day Camp has had a theme, but this year Parks and Recreation decided to try something different.
