A celebration of life for Frank M. Bond, 76, a 14-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Bond died Jan. 16, 2007, in Carson City. He was born June 7, 1930, in BeLoit, Wisc., to Franklin Bond and Rubie White.

He married Marion Ambler on June 30, 1951, in San Francisco.

He attended Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; San Francisco State and Hastings Law School.

He was superintendent of Swift Meat Packing Co. in San Francisco and retired after 38 years in 1989.

Among his survivors are his wife, of Carson City; sons and daughters-in-law Gregory Allen and Marie Bond of Modesto, Calif., and Anthony Franklin and Joanne Bond of Montera, Calif.; son Alexander Blair Bond of El Sobrante, Calif.; daughters Susan E. Bond of Carson City and Deborah Ann Montagna of San Mateo, Calif.; three sisters, two brothers, six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
