Six locals win state titles in karate

Carson ATA Black Belt Academy-Home of Karete For Kids recently had six competitors win state titles going head to head against 25 other ATA Black Belt Academies in an event held in Las Vegas. Those who won state titles were:

Morgan Brown, 11-13 girls color belt, sparring and weapons champion; Elijah Fajayan, 8-10 boys color belt, sparring champion; Jared Brown, 14-16 boys color belt, sparring champion; Robert Biegel, 60 and over men's color belt, weapons champion; Michelle Bertocchi, 30-39 women's color belt, weapons champion; Shawn Goodner, 30-39 men's first degree, sparring, weapons and forms champion.
