A memorial service for Rose Marie Borda McAllister, 85, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mrs. McAllister died April 27, 2007. She was born Sept. 24, 1921, in Gardnerville, to John Baptiste and Augustine Borda.
She graduated from Douglas High School.
She was the secretary for the Soil Conservation Service for 30 years.
She was a member of St. Gall Catholic Community and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family and her dachshunds.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George McAllister, and brother Ray Borda.
Among her survivors are daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Fred Shake; son and daughter-in-law Mike McAllister and Carla Wetzel; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous extended relatives.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northern Nevada, 705 S. Wells Ave., Reno, NV 89502.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
