A funeral Mass for Jeanne C. Park, 88, a lifelong Gardnerville resident, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church.

Viewing will be from 1-7 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

A Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Gall.

Mrs. Park died Feb. 19, 2002, at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1914, to Joe and Bertha Dangberg Cardinal, a pioneer Gardnerville family.

Mrs. Park was a longtime and active member of St. Gall Catholic Church and a former soloist and choir member of the church. She was a member of the "Fort Nightly" club in Minden, founded by her mother. She loved to eat at the Carson Valley Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Brooks in 2000, daughter Sally, sister Mary and brother Bill.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Nancy Park of Minden; daughters and sons-in-law Jeanne and Alan Blach of Elko and Kay and Tom Seeliger of Reno; sister Gretchen Whitehead of Sparks; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at the Mottsville Cemetery in Gardnerville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gall Catholic Church Memorial Fund.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
