A memorial service for Dorothy J. Lewis, 87, a Carson City resident for over 30 years, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Carson City.

Mrs. Lewis died Sept. 20, 2007, in Reno. She was born March 6, 1920, to James C. and Ellen Petersen, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She lived in Southern California before moving to Carson City. She was married to Trevor Lewis.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Carson City. She enjoyed reading and traveling.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband in 2002.

Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Mike Rupert of Reno and Cathy and Jim DeMagistris of Carson City; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
