Stations of the Cross at St. Teresa of Avila


St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community is holding Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. each Friday during Lent, 3000 N. Lompa Lane.


The public is welcome to join in the devotion of praying the Stations of the Cross. A soup dinner is held at 5:30 p.m. in Chartz Hall preceding the prayers.


St. Teresa also is offering Lenten candlelight prayer services from 7-7:30 p.m. on Mondays in the chapel Feb. 18, March 3, 10 and 17. For information, call 882-1968.




Proscenium Players to perform 'Red Ryder'


Proscenium Players presents "When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder?" Performances are 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday, Donald W. Reynolds Theater at Brewery Arts Center.

Due to violence, adult content and language, this play is not suitable for children and there will be no late admissions.




Rare Comstock and Carson Mint topic of unique presentation


Will Robins will present a lecture and displays on the Comstock and Carson City Mint 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson St.


Will Robins will present rare artifacts and photos along with a stirring lecture of events and figures from the Comstock and Carson City Mint.

Madrigal Dinner to be served at Carson High


Join the Carson High School Concert Choir for an afternoon of medieval pageantry, food and music at the Madrigal Dinner 2 p.m. Sunday at Carson High School's Senator Square.


This event is a fundraiser for the 2008 Heritage Music Festival.

Operation First Response seeks parade participants


Operation First Response is planning a weekend event in Carson City to "Honor Our Troops and Support Our Wounded" May 16-18.

Comedian Don Rickles to play MontBleu on Saturday night


The legendary Don Rickles appears 9 p.m. Saturday at MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa to unleash his vim, vinegar and venom.
