Robert "Bob" Edward Rabideau

Robert (Bob) Rabideau passed away on February 13, 2008 in Rifle, Colorado. He was previously a long time resident of Carson City since 1962. Bob was born June 17, 1924 in Watertown, N.Y. to Edward Edgar Rabideau and Nellie Pecor Rabideau.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Elaine of Cedaredge, Colo. and their two pet "doggers". He has six children; daughters Mary Wells and husband Butch of Florida; Cynthia Rabideau and partner Shelly of Portland, Ore.; son, Scott Rabideau and wife Linda of Carson City; daughters, Robin Banker and husband Paul of Susanville, Calif.; Jacque Day and husband Norman Swiger of Sparks, and Michele Rabideau-Whaley of Sparks, a sister Sally Peden, and niece Debbie Peden of Sparks. He had 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Prior to his retirement, Bob was an electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and worked on the State of Nevada Department of Transportation and State Capitol buildings in Carson City. He served in the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Stevenson.

Bob will be missed but not forgotten by everyone that knew and loved him. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 23 at 1 p.m. at FitzHenrys Funeral Home, 3945 Fairview Dr. Carson City. A celebration of life will follow at the home of Scott and Linda Rabideau.
