Today's weather will be partly cloudy in the morning then mostly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Haze and areas of smoke through the day with highs 87-97 with light winds.
Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms in the evening with areas of haze and smoke throughout the night with lows 55-65 and west winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening becoming light.
Tuesday, partly cloudy with haze in the morning and areas of smoke through the day. Highs 84-94 with light winds becoming west 10-15 mph in the afternoon.
Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.
The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.
Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:08 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
