Children's Theater presents two for one performance


Wild Horse Children's Theater presents "The Emperor's New Clothes" and Robert Fulghams's "All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten," 7 p.m., Friday, Saturday, Aug. 8 and Aug. 9; and 4 p.m., Saturday, Sunday, Aug. 9 and Aug. 10, Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St. These two shows will be presented as a two-for-one performance. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for ages 3-18; children 2 and under are free if accompanied by an adult and do not occupy a seat. Shakespeare on BAC Outdoor Stage


The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is presented at the Brewery Arts Center Outdoor Stage, 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3 and 10. Three actors perform all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in a madcap style worthy of Groucho Marx. Tickets are $12 general seating; $2 off for BAC members, seniors, and students. St. Gall rummage sale this weekend


St. Gall Catholic Church holds their annual rummage sale, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday at 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Come early and enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut from Boy Scout troop 411. Hot dogs and drinks will be served throughout the day. For information, call 782-2852


Washoe Lake


Stargaze at Washoe state park Saturday


Astronomy experts and park rangers invite the public to Washoe Lake State Park, 8-11:30 p.m., Saturday for a stargazing party. High-powered telescopes will be available to view galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and other objects in the night sky. Bring a light jacket. The park is located on Eastlake Boulevard, 10 miles north of Carson City off U.S. 395. Go left to the overflow boat lot, east of the group pavilion area. For information, call 684-2770.
