The mochila was exchanged in Carson City at Third and South Curry streets at 11:20 a.m. Rider will now head east to Lyon County where the exchange will be made in Mound House.
Riders are slightly behind schedule.
Other points of exchange in Nevada include: Fort Churchill at 4 p.m.; Top Gun Raceway at 10 p.m.; Sand Springs at midnight; Cold Springs at 4:30 a.m. Friday, June 20; Railroad Pass at 9:30 a.m. June 20; Grubbs Pass at 5:30 p.m. June 20; Overland Pass at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, and Ibapah at 5:30 p.m. June 21.
Please be drive carefully if you come upon the Pony Express riders and their entourage.
