Dog Daze event coming to Fuji Park

An event celebrating man's best friend with contests, snacks and exhibits will be held Oct. 25 in Carson City.

Parks 4 Paws and We Can will host Dog Daze at 1 p.m. that day in Fuji Park where there will be a professional dog trainer exhibition, snacks and door prizes and contests for the following: Dachshund dash, best Frisbee catch, best tail wiggler, "sniffingest" dog, best dressed dog, longest tennis ball retrieve, cutest puppy, stupid pet tricks, dog/owner look alike, best singer/talker, most attractively-challenged and toughest dog.

Dress-up is optional at the event.

Parks 4 Paws is a group working to develop dog parks in Carson City. We Can is a group promoting exercise and nutritious snacks to fight childhood obesity.
