Carson dealer opens Harley store in Tahoe

Carson City Harley-Davidson will be opening a new store in South Lake Tahoe. They signed a five-year lease on a 2,734 square foot space in The Shops of Heavenly Village, a retail development at the base of the Heavenly Valley Gondola.

Kummer Kaempfer elects new directors, managing partner

The statewide law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario has elected four attorneys to become members of the firm's Board of Directors, commonly referred to in the profession as "partners" and also named a new managing partner effective April 1.

John Griffin, Brandon Roos, Steve Tackes and Jason Woodbury have been elected as new directors. Robert J. Gronauer will assume the position of managing partner and president of the law firm.

Gronauer joined Kummer Kaempfer in 1996. He is based in the Las Vegas office.

Griffin has been an associate with the firm since June 2006. He is past president of the Carson City Rotary Club and president of Carson City Little League, Capitol Chapter of the University of Nevada Alumni Association, and the Carson Taxi Squad Booster Club. He is located in the Reno office.

Tackes joined the firm in June 2006 when Crowell, Susich, Tackes & Griffin, Ltd. combined forces with Kummer Kaempfer. He is a past chairman of the Carson City Airport Authority and currently serves as counsel to the Nevada Airport Managers Association. Tackes is a founding director of the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Foundation Board. Tackes resides in Carson City.

Woodbury has been an associate in the Litigation Department since 2006. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a deputy district attorney in the Carson City District Attorney's office for four years where he worked as a prosecutor and later as legal advisor in the civil division. Woodbury is based in the Reno office.

Roos has been an associate in the Litigation Department focusing his practice on civil, commercial and general business litigation. He is based in Las Vegas.

Coffee with the sheriff

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce monthly breakfast club meeting will take place at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Carson City Sheriff's Office, 911 Musser St. Call 882-1565.

Chamber mixer planned at Unique Sounds

The Carson City Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer will take place April 15 at Unique Sounds, 3050 Highway 50 East at 5:30 p.m. The event is being co-hosted by Pizza Factory.
