Toys badly needed

for Toys for Tots

Ron Wood Family Resource Center's drive to gather Toys for Tots is lacking this season.

"We are not getting the donations, and really need the community to give either toys or monetary donations," said Executive Director Joyce Buckingham.

Rainbow Girls offer gift-wrapping

The Carson City Rainbow Girls offer annual gift-wrapping at the Carson Mall during normal mall hours,

"This is one of the biggest fund-raising events for our assembly, and it has been going on for over 25 years at the Carson Mall, said advisor Teri Schmidlin.

The gift-wrapping starts today and is offered daily through Dec. 24.

Jenny Craig open house scheduled

Jenny Craig invites the community to its holiday open house from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 444 E. William St.

Guests are invited to bring any new toys, blankets, gloves, coats and hats for the homeless. Also needed are pet food for the Pets of the Homeless and canned food items for seniors.

Food and hot apple cider will be offered along with an opportunity to enter a holiday raffle. For more information, call 884-0400.
