Dorothy Lee McElreath McCloud met her Savior and entered her eternal home Feb. 1, 2009.

Dorothy was born April 21, 1928 in San Angelo, Texas. She was the middle of three daughters born to Robert E. and Bernice Lee. Dorothy was married to Floyd L. McElreath and Larry McCloud, both of whom preceded her in death. In the last few years of her life, she was befriended and loved by Walt Adams, a true blessing in her life.

She was a devoted mother of her two sons, a loving grandmother to her three grandsons, and an adoring great grandmother for two great granddaughters and five great grandsons. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and Walt Adams. She will also be remembered by a multitude of Bingo Buddies as "the fudge lady".

She attended the Airport Road Church of Christ and was particularly fond of her minister, Bruce Henderson, and all of the friends she made at that church.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Randall Lee McElreath, who was killed in Viet Nam, her parents and her two sisters. She is survived by her oldest son, Rick McElreath and his wife, Ann.

A celebration of her life and a memorial service will be 2 p.m., Thursday at the Airport Road Church of Christ at 3209 Airport Road, Carson City.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to FISH in Carson City to help feed the hungry in her community.

Final arrangements were in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
