The Inauguration Ball " Preliminary arrangements have been made to the giving and holding of a Ball in honor of the Inauguration of Governor Kinkead, and the rest of the newly elected State officers and the Legislature. It will be a magnificent affair. There will be the very best music that ever was blown and scraped and thumped; Lord! How the ladies will dress and be dressed; goodness! How the wallflowers will flush; heavens! How the spinsters will flirt and the bachelors ogle (the newer and vulgarer word is "mash"); and oh! oh! how all hands will up and go it until the stars grow pale.
