The eighth-grade Eagle Valley Middle School volleyball team went the distance in taking a 17-25, 25-11, 15-7 victory over South Tahoe on Thursday.

Setters Courtney Hack and Kaira Stevens paced Eagle Valley as it improved to 3-0. Hack had six aces, four blocks, five digs, 11 assists and three kills, while Stevens added one ace, two digs, seven assists and two kills.

Katie contributed three aces, one block, nine digs and one kill and Sidney Knorzer had one ace, six digs, one assist and one kill.

Eagle Valley Seventh 2, South Tahoe 0

Savannah Smith exploded for 31 points, including 11 aces and three strikes, while Becka Breuer and Kristina Acheson and Malia Tiffer each added two points as Eagle Valley won 25-6, 25-17 and improved to 3-0.

Carson Eighth 2, Alder Creek 0

Kenzie Tillitt had two kills, four assists and seven digs, Maddy Saarem added two kills and four assists and McKenzie Price seven aced and five kills as Carson improved to 2-1 in a 25-17, 25-12 victory over Alder Creek.
