Isolated showers forecast for afternoon

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:44 a.m. all roads open with no controls.

Today's weather for the Carson City area will be cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon with highs 46-56 with light winds becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, cloudy with scattered showers, with lows 27-37 and southeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Thursday, cloudy with a chance of showers with highs 40-50 with southwest winds up to 10 mph.

Utility work is being done on Little Lane between Saliman Road and Roop Street, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with lane restrictions on Little Lane east and west of South Roop Street. Alternate routes of travel are Fairview Drive to the south and East Fifth Street to the north.

Utility work is also being done on North Roop Street from East John to Long streets, and on Corbett street, east and west side of North Roop.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. There is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures and possible delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
