High Sierra Fellowship will host a puppet show at 6 p.m., Friday. The Hands Lifted High Puppet Team will perform a free family show.

St. Gall Catholic Church is ready for it's annual rummage sale with many, many wonderful items, including a fishing boat and two cars.

The sale is 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8. Come early as Boy Scout Troop 422 will be serving coffee and donuts.

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community will host Summer Under the Stars - Praise & Worship Concert at 6-8 p.m., Aug. 11 on the front patio.

All faiths are welcome to the free concert featuring St. Teresa's Terri Bond (Gospel Music Award Winner), Haley Bond (Reno Idol) and Unity Church's Cherie Shipley (Reno Tahoe's Showroom Favorite). Fellowship and picnic starts at 6 p.m. Bring food, blankets or chairs. Concert starts at 7 p.m.

Western Nevadans are invited to discuss Soul and the creative imagination at a worship service at 10 a.m. Aug. 15 in Carson City. The free session, "Soul and the Creative Imagination" is sponsored by ECKANKAR, Religion of the Light and Sound of God. It will take place at Carson City Community Center, at Roop and Williams streets.

During this one-hour worship service, a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk, followed by readings, a small-group discussion and a short contemplation.
