Arthur A. Biale, a native of Eureka, died June 3, 2009 in Elko at the age of 80. He was born March 9, 1929 in Eureka to Albert F. and Marie Harris Biale. Art was always at home in the Eureka environment. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trapping. The study of bird life began at an early age and resulted in contributions to various publications as well as an intense interest in photography.

He served in the Army 1951-1953 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was owner-operator of Al's Hardware and Sporting Goods until his retirement in 1982. Art was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Volunteer Fire Department. He served many years on the Nevada Fish and Game Commission.

He is survived by his wife Betty; sisters Claire Bostic of Carson City, Louise White (Jerry) of Eureka, and cousin John F. Biale (Ruth) of Carson City. At his request no services will be held. Thank you to Doctors Hogle and LeSar, and staff of Highland Manor, Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, Deacon Craig and Sherry LaGier.
